I'm liking the product a lot so far. Building a basic game from scratch and running on my iPhone within in 2 hours first try was awesome. VERY promising. There are definitely some things I'd want to see: Upgrades on the learning end: Tutorials on each of the game types. More specifically, the advanced settings. I have the manual open on one screen while making adjustments on the other and it's tedious. A rebuild video of some of the MC build files would be perfect. More in depth 'stating from scratch' videos. For instance, the Animation videos start with a rigged character. I'd like to see it done from scratch. Buildbox: Workspace and workflow settings. It's 3 mouse clicks to get to Advanced Gameplay Settings. There should be a direct link, and there should be an "Apply" button to apply settings on the fly. Ideally, I'd like to have the AGS panel open on one screen, and the scene preview panel open on another and be able to tweak settings and see them in as close to real time as possible. Same thing with the game field editor. GROUPING please please please add object grouping so multiple objects can be select and manipulated at once. Making connections just to move things around is tedious and shouldn't have to be necessary. Animation Box, Icon Box: Bringing in our own assets...c'mon guys...this shouldn't even have to be discussed. Direct output to store asset sizes. We should be able to drop in screen shots from Buildbox simulator and output to all the necessary sizes for App Store metadata. The Buildbox suite is about the business as a whole, and you teach a lot about the business. This is part of it. A real dream would be to have the asset catalog imported into Xcode with the project, but I know that's unlikely. We should be able to generate all icons and launch screens straight from BB though. There should be a formal feature request/issue thread that's in the customer only section (at least to post), and followed by the BB dev team. So many products have people asking about features or voicing issue with the interface and get no response at all. If BB wants to be in this game, they should put the needs of paying customers first...especially the early adopters paying top dollar for the software.
Agreed Dan. Its a request I've asked on the previous forum and tech support. Was hoping for, and actually expecting ,one of the sections in this new forum would have been Feature Requests! Hopefully Andy/Trey & Co. will consider.
