Hi This is what I keep on getting - You uploaded an APK that is signed with a different certificate to your previous APKs. You must use the same certificate. Your existing APKs are signed with the certificate(s) with fingerprint(s): Which certificates are they talking about ? I am using eclipse
They talk about "Signed Key Certificate" , there are unique, and once you sign you apk with one and upload to playstore you can't sign with another and update your game (like iTunes) . you must have the same "key" . Take an example : If you want to update your android game after one year and you lost you sign key, you must delete old game and create new one, you can keep Game Center, but you will loose old clients, and download numbers, and reviews...and most important thing , active players can't update the game, they must unnistall old game and install new game! Don't make for every game, new key, create once your key and that it's! Keep you key safe, don't share it! Arhive and keep on cd or usb, don't loose it! You will not be able to update your games!
ok - thank you for that. so if the game is not published but in beta, I can unpublish it and upload a new one with the new key right ?
No, all uploads for a single Bundle ID are required to use the same key, there is no way around this. You can use the same key for multiple Bundle IDs.
You have to create a new Bundle ID. There is nothing else you can do, once the key is gone there is absolutely no way to update the app.
If it was in beta, it's half mistake ) , You have no customers, so you easily can create a new bundle id and a new key certificate, but remember to keep safe your key and password also .
