Well after 18 months off and on with this game i finally published it to the App Store and google play. I was really hoping to finish it in BB2.3 but it was to much hassle going through it to fix things that broke with the crossover from 2.2.9 to 2.3. So the long loading is a pain, and it just won't run on older devices.. especially on android, iPhones are ok down to iPhone 5 but still a bit laggy in some scenes. So here is my platform game with a bit of a puzzling style to it. It requires some patience and a bit of thinking to get through the levels. Dream On A Journey. Run, Jump, and swing your way through various, puzzling obstacles. Two game Modes Journey- Jump into the dream and explore the journey through obstacles that are not what they seem, Reach the light and unlock levels. Playground- Where you go to escape the nightmares, but you better run, run, run, run Features • Mobile platformer • Levels to unlock • Great levels, obstacles to beat •Two game modes. Appstore-- https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/dream-on-a-journey/id1360691555?mt=8 Google Play-- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adrogdesigns.dreamon
By far I prefer the second game mode (playground), harder and more dynamic, I like that. I feel the sounds could be improved to match better the game, good work!
Cool cool. Make sure you optimize it. (Remove unused sounds...images..mhit optimize button in Atlas area etc) also make sure the ground objects are no more than a few. A lot of people take a small square and draw the ground out. Versus make the ground 1 single object. Or a few objects etc. That...9 times out of 10...when it comes to platforms...is the reason they lag or load slow. I'm on a Galaxy Note 4 and it took about 2 minutes to load. So either you have 300 levels or you are placing too many objects on scenes.
yea i like the playground mode, and yea the sounds were hard work hahahah. but the journey mode gets pretty challenging a few levels in... thanks. I did all the optimizing I could. All the images are small. Cloned every thing globally. There is only two atlases, but maybe your right about the scenes being to big. It is a large game. But not to big. Only has 25 worlds and 75 UI's. And ten worlds have only up to 15 scenes and the rest have over 30 scenes. Thanks for your feedback.
The rotating spiked platforms made me lose my sanity haha. It is so enraging. I hated it. Might use something like that for Dere Evil .Exe . I already had something with moving platforms in the game but I'm gonna add that too. I reviewed your game on Google Play btw: heads up. you can continue the game without watching an ad if your wifi is off. I think you aimed for a "watch to continue" thing but when i click it i go to another screen and i can just press to continue from there
Thanks for that and the review. Yea those turning spiked platforms are a killer. Yea the continue, well I didn't want to use heyzap, so I went with that option. But any way, if there playing with wifi off then no loss.
If anyone else would care to rate and review on google play that would be awesome, thanks in advance. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adrogdesigns.dreamon
