Dragonlings - Our First Bb2 Game ( By Risinghigh )

What is up everyone?

Been a while since I last posted as we've seriously been heads down learning BB2 and getting to grips with all the new buttons and stuffs, been floored by the possibilities now available to all of us. I wanted to show you our new game that released today and we've been lucky enough to have been featured by Apple in New Games We Love across Europe

We were trying to work out how long it took to share with you all, and I think it was around 90+ days solid at 12-16 hours per day, if you do follow us on FB or Twitter, than you already know this. Honestly, it kinda broke us this one but we're pleased how it turned out, and it was fun for the most part

If you like it, we'd love an honest review on the store as you all know that helps with all the Apple stuffs.

This looks incredible but it crashes on my 4s when it gets to the atlasses. Also, this is one of the games I really would like to see the announced feature of loading the game up to x5 faster. It takes ages to load the dragons.

The game itself looks easily from the best I've seen. Well deserved the feature. Congrats. Any background information on the change of visual style from your previous games?

 

Thanks @Christoph and yeah we know there's an issue on the 4s - however, that said, it does run on the an early one we have here - but it's an old device now and we had to make a call on that ( 3-5 years old which is 100 years in tech land ).

We wanted to try something new and this was always a learning project for us. I did mock the game using a similar style to Mars:Mars that released a couple of weeks back, and I kinda wished I'd have ran with that. However, this would've probably put the project back a good 2 months so business took over. I'd also like to point out that we're not just about simple shape games, but we do look at the market to assess what is trending - you have to balance all the time to remain competitive, the market is the market is the market, it's kinda that simple.

This was always a long shot for us, I think the game is pretty good and BB2 has really enabled us to explore more of what we need. Just put multiplayer and git' based user login's into the mix and we'll be flyin!

 

This is really cool stuff @Kevin W, you guys are just bringing back the "beautiful" graphics era from the "simplistic" one and make that trend again. Congrats!

 

Dragonlings is really cool. Gameplay, level design everything is great.
Wish you success! Anyway, i have no doubt that this game will be successful.

 

Thanks man, I wouldn't go that far, but it was fun to try something different - whatever you do it's best to try and be unique in some way I think.
