I disagree with you. For instance I have a new game called "NO SOUND". Its endless... @scottandrews490 Don't think anyone will rate a game without any sound effect in it. It makes games come to LIFE
it's new and different and i hope you succeed with it but i still disagree making sound for games its very important and you need to let the player to choose if want to play the game with sound or switch it off and that's only my opinion. i for myself many time i play game without sound and sometimes i have the need to turn it on to give that excitement and that thrill that come along with it and that the player choice my choice.
try to imagine Star Wars without sound... oh, I was waaaay asleeep It's better to give users the choice to mute the music/FXs rather than telling us that the game is boring.
Games don't need to have sounds. It is all in your own perspective. I know that there are, more than myself, that have no sound app games. It makes it more suspenseful, depending on your game style.
I think we're onto something. I'm building a new game called NOTHING! Not only has it no sound BUT no graphics. And to make it super exclusive I'm setting it at Tier 87 on the App Store: $999.99 If it even got through Apple review I swear to god someone WOULD buy it AND not demand a refund!!!
Just test it's yourself, use some jump, die and theme song drag to buildbox and compare! With sound, definitely more excited
