Hey guys, Is this happening to anyone? I set the defeated animation of my character with tiny pieces spreading, but it only plays when the character dies on the initial scene or at most one more scene, but after that when it dies nothing happens. Is it a bug from Buildbox?
check out this video from Trey and how he talks about the death animation for The Line Zen. It should hopefully help. Its not a tutorial, but if you look at the scene and how things are set up, it will give you an idea - it helped me - look around 3mins 39s in
also you may want to check the game over delay for your characters if you have multiple characters for your game. the delay has to gradually become longer or the defeated animation tends to disappear (especially with 1.3.5)
@jigglybean @chrissy_wissy2 Thank you guys for the reply. I know how the death animation is set up, but it´s not working, probably because im using Buildbox 2, since on BB1 it didn´t happen on my first game. Anyone have any ideas about if this is a bug on BB2?
Yeah, I have the same problem! I am using a defeated animation, just like the video above. I set the all the tiny parts to "Physics object", their movement type to "Physics", and their linear velocity to random numbers, but the defeated animation just won't appear. I did mess around with gameover delay and I could see the defeated animation for a tiny fraction of a second, but when I restarted the game, nothing was there. +: I am using BB 1.3.6.
So ir appears that not only this happens to some of you using Buildbox 2 but also to people who uses BB1. Lets hope this gets fixed on the next BB update.
