I Am Developing a Game in which the character moves at a constant speed and the user has to move the enemies so that the character can move. Ques 1 : how can i control enemies with buttons or with something that the user can control them with. Ques 2 : how can i move the character at the start of the game at a constant speed. (Color Switch : Game Mode : Control) <- This is exactly what i want! Please Help. Thanks! @Andy @Machine Rises @heathclose
here is my two pennies I would not reference much color switch cause the game isn't even made in buildbox anymore. In all fairness it shouldn't be featured on the buildbox website it is just good business for buildbox, no matter how it was made.
That is a bit harsh because @Machine Rises mentioned multiple times that the original version was indeed made in BuildBox and he was able to put his initial idea to a working concept in 30 minutes. And then he made the first version with all levels in just two weeks. That deserves credit for BB Team too IMHO. Now I do not say that is not possible on other platforms, but not without massive software development experience. Yes, there are level editors, yes there are other nice game making environments, but those are all require that programming skills and not as easy to learn and use as BuildBox. All these arguably allowed David to concentrate on the game design instead of struggling with technical details. That is another thing that his game picked up pretty well and in fact went very very high up so that he could afford custom code from professional dev team and that opened up some doors for him. But thanks to that move @TreySmith decided to add so many features to BB2 that was originally not planned, so all of us got benefits from this at the end.
Color Switch Is Like An Inspiration Bruh. Take The Inspiration, Don't Be Against It! Thankyou @Machine Rises For your Game! Appreciated!
hmm... well question 2 is simple, it about game speed and game direction in your world settings and making sure your game frame allows your character to to stay where you want it as the game moves.... but question 1 stumps me...
It was an original BB game. That day is over now. Color Switch is 12% Buildbox and 88% Unity. If anyone wants inspiration go download 1.0 and know your limits in BB.
I could only DREAM that i built a BB game and get it to the level of having coders edit the source and make it better like they did with Color Switch. And as was stated, it only added features into BB because of that.
Would be better if they had a copy of CS before it was edited with outside software. We could easily find the ipa or apk for original and make a gameplay video of it. That way it doesnt misslead anyone.
Yeah Dude, i agree with you on that one! And Yeah i downloaded V 1.0. it made my game look a bit better!
Alright Thanks Mate! I'll Do That. and yeah Ques. 2 Stumped Me Too. if it isn't possible, then The Developers At Buildbox Should Work On That to Let Users like Us to use that features too!
All levels aside from "Spin" can be made in Buildbox. The only limits you have are the ones you set for yourself.
@Depuuty Wow really? That's pretty awesome, can you share the basis of creating a game style like that in BB1? Doesn't seem remotely possible based off my current knowledge of the version 1.0 software?
