Checkpoint restart position...

Whenever my game restarts from a checkpoint the character is all the way to the left of the screen; I would like the character to be more toward the middle after a restart. Anyone?

 

Can you post a screenshot of where you are setting the checkpoint?

 

I think I figured it out... does it have to do with the starting placement of your character? I had it off-screen at the start, then moved it in and that seem to have helped.
