how do you download it? will beta 1 be able to download the update? or do we just download again from the licenses section on the website?
the biggest issue for me is not being able to add my own OBJ file with out it crashing at preview or export. that is the biggest thing they need to fix is model processing and custom textures. with out it crashing. everything else like Android and steam and other export options can be later down the track the most important thing is the MAIN FUNCTIONALITY which is adding OBJs so you can design your own games fully. I have 3d designed for a game I want to build but can't because it doesn't seem to accept any of the assets I introduce due to crashing at preview and export.
Dead on SpoonCrysis. FYI, I've been able to get most models working by changing meshes, types of materials, etc., and I can usually get them to work.
were they complex meshes? because none of them work. eg I have tried to ad a high quality model of a lamborghini it will add it but it will crash when you try to export or preview.
that probably why, if it has a high poly count then it is bound to crash, low poly models work a lot better.
First, you'd have to define what you mean by high-poly. Some of mine are what I would call fairly complex low-poly. A Lamborghini, no, not that complex. I have found that the issues don't appear to be directly related to poly-count, but some other factor(s) with the meshes that I have been unable to identify. Materials are another matter, and I don't mean the number of them. Even if you have just one material and it's the wrong type it will crash. I've been sticking with Diffuse BSDF material with one image texture and that seems to always work.
That may not be the case with him, a model of a sphere still could be smoothed and have an insane poly count, his model may not sound that complex but you could easily have a model of a lambo which has way over 1mill polys, straight of the bat that would be bad for optimisation let alone even getting it to work. it just depends on the poly count. The materials however are an issue atm and might not seem like its the issue at first as you have said.
Yes right that's what I always hear, but I don't have a mac pc, no iPad or iPhone, all my work and apps are on android, may be in the future.
I also like to have the Beta 2! We pay for a System that is Not working Full! You can Not Export because you can Not create a working Menu. Every week there is a Promis for Beta2. And every week it dont come! I like to have to too! No Android Export?
You dont pay for Beta2 or Buildbox 3 you pay for Buildbox 2 and Buildbox 3 is for testing so we can help make Official Buildbox 3 best possible in that moment. This is beta 1 relax to be honest Buildbox Team is doing us a favor to make Export avalible in Beta 2
Well, I completely agree with you, it’s good to see most of the templates , basic features and many more working, and as they promised @Buildbox @TreySmith , they are obviously releasing some or the other templates/features so no complaints even if there are couple of stuffs missing
