Buildbox 2 - Early Access - BETA2 has arrived.

@Andy It just says B#484. Do I need to completely re-download and reinstall? It doesn't find updates when I ask it to check for updates.

 

@Andy re download the app again from the provided link when you bought the app. Install it on a separate folder to keep builds separate if you want to.

That is BB1 not BB2.

@DeadlySeriousMedia that is the first BETA release. Did you download the new one? There is no auto-update during Early Access. Use the same link from the email where you receive the license key to always download the latest.

 

Hi,

Quick overview about BB 2.0 Beta 2 b#876 Win 7, 64 bit.

1. Teleport still not working. Duplicating one and as soon as character touch 1st teleport it crashes. - Was same in b#848 (first beta release)
2. Deleted randomly on mind map levels/Ui cards and crashes on some files, on other not. - Was same in b#848 (first beta release)

Just these for now, will post once i will discover more, hopefully not.

@Andy - teleport crash is not on the list, assuming was not fixed? When official release will be?

@TreySmith All user would appreciate maybe 1-2 months free for BB 2.0 subscription extension for all this beta testing time once is released officially. We are all in and support the software but if we have to wait 6 months to get official version fixed is not good news, we have all hands tied to do great games since all features are working until a point and is odd to do a game that does nothing special. Huge potential on the software if it would work at its full potential. Waiting for official release to do all promised things.

@Andy New version of beta allows me to put in effects but they crash when you go to play the game. Half way there.

What version of OS are you on, Windows? Mac? I tested on Mac and it works including preview. If you can please send sample file to support@buildbox.com so we can get it sorted for you.

 

@Andy oh, it's because I loaded up a game built in BB1. I guess there's still a gap in the conversion process. Just tried it with a BB2 demo game and it did work. Hmmm, frustrating. Oh well. I'm sure it will get sorted eventually.

Just download new update for BB2 Windows ( Just updated the Windows download link (see your original license key email) to a HOTFIX build (B#876) ) and it asking me for licence?
But i already have installed BB2 Version 2.0.0B#848 and wanted to download update version.

 

Support staff already reply to us, and everything is working perfectly.

@Andy Can we now expect weekly updates from tomorrow Tuesday?

 

We are not on a strict schedule, we will release when we determine the build is acceptable to release. We were attempting weekly or so but there is nothing set in stone. Things are fluid on a daily basis.

 

Any luck on enabling the other presets or at least send me the settings as I am loosing revenue.......

I need to top the chart with 2 of the presets.

@TreySmith I've just tried it and it worked fine using the on screen buttons and the z / x keys. I found it toppled over if I used the left / right cursor keys, so might be @ricky_dawn was using the wrong keys. Just a guess.

 

Gotcha, that's it. Can't use arrows on a motorcycle game.

 

What version is the latest for mac? My crashes all the time so a new for me would increase my dev time
