Buildbox 2.0 Release Date

We have install BB 2.0 Version B#1066 and we can say that some bugs from before on Windows and MAC are fixed.

What we have noticed on MAC is on Simulator Preview sometimes is slow down game and after 2-3 second it come back to normal, and again slower it and again back to normal.

On Windows BB 2.0 Version B#1066 it crashes after every Simulator Preview.

Is it matter which Windows you using? Currently we are on Windows 8.
Do not know much about windows, we are more MAC lovers.

 

I'm testing by creating a new file and opening an existing BBDOC and it seems to work OK. No crash after preview.

1) Is this only on a specific BBDOC?
2) What version of Windows?

 

NOT looking forward to haters posting a long list of why BB2 is _____________ Those threads are nearly unbearable.

Dang, i was hoping for new features lol seems like it more of a bug fix update. Like the remove unused images etc addition tho.

lol... mind you, those on scirra.com's forums brought me here. Haven't used construct since.

 

Anyone else having serious crash issues on Mac? I haven't downloaded the new version on my pc yet because the mac versions were usually more stable in the past, but as of right now i'm experiencing some pretty bad crashes, especially whenever I try to open the shop from the main menu. I'll contact support, I was just wondering if anyone else was struggling as well. I'm using OS El Captain.

We using Windows 8, and .bbdoc files are from B#1007 that we using in B#1066.
It crashing on every file that was build or upgraded in B#1007.
Do we need to upgrade our Windows to Windows 10 to avoid crashing?

 

Dusan, I'm experiencing the same thing on my mac, currently installing it on my pc that runs windows 10 right now so I'll let you know how it goes for me.

 

I started new project and got a crash when i went to click on remove unused objects. I windows 10. Didn't happen again after.

 

@dusan20002 OK, interesting problem, Im looking into this crashing thing. It for sure is not happening here, so I need to figure out exactly why it's doing this before I can propose a workaround or solution.

 

Also, if you are having this crash issue did you install over an older version or install in a new location?

 

Hi @Andy its installed on new location BB2FinalRelease , we still keeping B#1007 for additional work.

 

@Andy, I installed over the old version, I'll try installing in new location on both PC and Mac. I just sent a support email with the files attached, the Ticket ID is 45354

For us on MAC is working fine. Just on Windows crashing after Simulator Preview on Windows 8.

 

@Andy Is it being release in some regional order? I haven't received any email, neither seen any download link on the revamped website for persons who already purchased.

 

@dusan20002, so what solved the problem for me was just installing all previous versions of buildbox, and then reinstalling it. I'm not sure if what OneHitGamer said played a factor in it, but I also cleared unused objects, components etc, and it worked after that. Hope it helps.

 

yah i installed mine over old, will uninstall and do a fresh install.
EDIT: Seemed to clean it up good. working great so far.

We have uninstall and reinstall B#1066 in separate folder in ProgramFiles(x86) and separate folder on Start Menu. We also keep BB#1007 installation also in separate folder.

And again it have crashes on every Simulator Preview from our .bbdoc file, or even if we Start New game from Presents Included.
But what is interesting is that if Simulator is On everything is working fine, as soon as we close Simulator it crashes.

We will continue to make our games on MAC, as there we still did not face any issue in BB#1066.
