Lol even if BB3 had multiplayer I don't think anyone could create a game like Fortnite in only a weekend or a week. There is so much that has gone into that game and hosting 100 players per game would be a lot of work to do. That game also has a lot of very talented engineers that got it highly optimized for the phone. I do agree though that multiplayer is now becoming almost a must have in every game. Which is kind of sad.
No just host 50 players per game and in a week, OK maybe 10 days, and you can create a Fortnite clone
Who has told you that? Trey has specifically stated that multiplayer at this time is not a focus and BB3.5 is targeted for consoles.
I'm not promising a specific version, but I will say it's something we will do eventually. I'm not seeing a huge need here right now though. Our market seems to be heavily focused on hyper casual and indie games, which neither really focus on multiplayer. We THOUGHT we were going to see a big shift here with .io games, but it just didn't happen. I don't think people are going to be making AAA games or heavy social games with Buildbox until most likely 4.X, but we will see. 3.0 is shaping up quite nicely, so if we get a big enterprise/social game/AAA push, then we will definitely move it forward quicker.
I don't remember which video exactly, but Trey mentioned it will be there eventually, just like his statement above.
