Android Back Button Issue

Hello,
i've parsed the forum about the issue with the Android back button functionality that apparently we can't configure in Buildbox for let's say exit the game or redirect the player.

To my understanding a workaround has been implemented in 2.2.9 by using a navigation button ("B" key workaround for Android back button. Set any button to the "B" key and the Android back button will use this routing/function instead of the default behavior). However it doesn't seem to work on devices.

Is there any update on that or any workaround? @Andy @sean

Or can someone help on this or how to go through Android studio and rectify this.
I can't release my app with this bug.

 

Same issue, with latest version of BB2, the back button on Android is still a problem
