@trygiimusic - I plan to share everything over on my blog (http://dancounsell.com) once the games been out for a few weeks and I've got some numbers to share.
Thanks Dan, I'm also very curious how this will work out. I played the game now for a while and have already over 1000 points. It's great and I died already a trillion times. Exactly because of this, I really think it would be the perfect game to make money with ads. I'm surprised you went the paid route. In Buildbox terms I think this is new, as all other games went with ads. Geometry Dash (not a Buildbox game) is also paid, but I really think they have the success because of the light version (and because it's an incredible game too with level creator and social platform). I hope (and believe) you are going to be featured by Apple and you have for sure a lot of press feadback in the next days (your connections already made with Clear and your other apps will pay off). I for sure will be reading your blog from now on. Congratulations again!
The voice over reminds me of the narrator from Battleblock Theater on Xbox. Which for those who have never played it, is an amazing game. This also looks fun. Love the art style.
@Christoph, Thanks for the feedback, I went with paid because I prefer paid games myself. It won't be featured by Apple this time around (as far as I know). I will probably do a free/lite version with ads, especial if I bring it to Android. But first I want to see how the paid version does! @Perry Yeah it does, that was the vibe we were going after
Well done fella, featured in the UK on your own account !!!! Have bought and am playing now Tough competition this week! Kudos!
Is there a place where you can check all appstores featuring lists? I searched the official Apple page but no luck.
Thanks guys, I'm just happy to have finally got everything approved. Was a bit stressful trying to get iOS, Mac and AppleTV ready all for the same week. The game seems to be doing okay so far, it's starting to break into the top 100 Overall Paid apps in a lot of countries. I'm using an App called RankUp on iOS to track chart position, it's pretty useful, here's the link: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/ran...d734275504?mt=8&at=11l5U5&ct=almostimpossible Anyways, I'll be sure to do a full write up of the experience once I've got some proper numbers to share in the next few weeks. Thanks again, Dan
Really good obstacle design in this. So far I have fallen for ALL of the "almost impossible trap" obstacles shown in your trailer - LOL
I just found this page which seems to do the same for ranking: https://www.appannie.com/apps/ios/top/united-states/ Almost Impossible is on place 65 right now in the US!
Congrats on the feature @dan_counsell ... Your hard work & efforts finally got paid off. Any possibility of sharing some insider tips on the marketing & launch planning process as well as app feature in your blog? Really looking forward to that Congrats once again
@Rebel Studios - Yup I'll be sharing everything. I think at this rate it's going to be one epically long blog post…
