Hey, I'm curious if you guys would be interested in making a closed community of Buildbox users where we can openly share ideas, give and request feedback, partner up or help each other without having the fear that someone will steal our ideas. The Facebook group is a total mess - most of the members don't even have a Buildbox subscription. Here are my thoughts: You'll have to be approved by other members or you need to be invited by someone. You gotta be active, introduce yourself and provide links to your work, business social media? The community is awesome but spread all over the internet. Why not gather the most passionate ones into a group where we can build great things together? I've made a poll where you can vote.
what about joining the current telegram group? there is a bit of a crowd already there! Join the group here: https://t.me/joinchat/CRThvkLvvz8z3NH5E1xvpg forum thread here: https://www.buildbox.com/forum/index.php?threads/telegram-group-buildboxers.11743/ But if there is a slack group I can join too. The problem with slack is the amount of RAM it uses in your computer. And I have enough already between Chrome and Buildbox! Hope to see you in the group man, Cheers!
Hey guys, I just joined Benfront's telegram group and it's awesome! Feel free to join cuz it rocks. https://t.me/joinchat/CRThvkLvvz8z3NH5E1xvpg
I need to have it installed on my phone.... it's like whatsapp connected to my phone number. Isn't there an option without having it attached to a phone. I really don't want those notifications on my phone haha.
You can install it in your phone, then your computer and then delete the app of your phone. I started using telegram to send myself diawi versions of game prototypes and I kept it. It is so good for sending stuff from your phone to your computer!. But as I said you can get rid of the app after the desktop version is installed. And also, you can silence the groups and chats. You won't get any type of notifications if you don't want to.. Hope to see you joining soon!
I think I wore out my welcome in the telegram group because I'm still trying to get started. I've downloaded Android Studio and am trying to test my first app on my nexus 7. So yes, I would love to have a slack channel.
This post is from 2 years ago. We went with discord. Much better for our community, have you joined yet?
