    Hey there Boxers!

Have some exciting news! We are presenting the early Beta of Buildbox 3.1.1. This is a precursor for the major update being released later this month.

We have added a ton of major features, fixes, and more. A brief summary of whats new:

    Interactive Tutorials

    Game Creation Wizard

    Brainboxes

To be clear later this month we will be releasing full 3.1.1 which will be bringing with it more including Integrated Ads and Full Documentation. We know these are high in demand and they are getting the finishing touches currently. More news on that will be forthcoming.

Here's a video from Trey describing the update ;) :

As always with Beta Builds please make a backup of any project before opening it up in the newer build. If saved in the newer build it cannot be re-opened in a previous version.

And of course please send any bugs, issues, or feedback to support@buildbox.com along with details, project files, or anything needed to reproduce.

    Very cool new nodes!
Does "Signal Filter" replaces "Threshold" node?

Unfortunately it does not, looks to be an error that it was removed. We've pushed a fix to return it, sorry for the confusion!

I felt like I was going to have to learn a whole new way until I saw the last minute. Way to go on the brain box implementation. I know it couldn't have been easy merging all of these ideas together and not make the *manual 1000 pages.

    *when it comes :)

1st time I've used Buildbox in about 3 months. None of it seems to work well for me. I've tried the Wizard and the generated template is unusable so far. I've also tried some brain boxes and they don't do what they are meant to do. Is it only me!!!

Seeing the same. Wizard needs a lot of refining and work, I tried a couple, they didn’t work at all.

As for the brain boxes, I could get some functioning with a little tweaking.
I think they both are good ideas, but need some work. As for the brain boxes, I’m not super impressed, but an experienced BB3 user and a newbie will have different reactions to both of these features once they are in working order.

I tried out BB3 a few times briefly but have been mid development (very slowly a few hours a week) for the past two years. I wasn't ready to risk BB3 importing the game after an initial attempt as it's quite complex. Although I see some really impressive work in 3D I still prefer 2D for casual games so I've been dreading using the 3D interface for future 2D projects so the 2D interface is a game changer.

The benefits of BB3 will soon (I hope) make switching from BB2 something to be excited about (once stable enough). In BB2 I've enjoyed creativity through constraints but having things like an inflexible points system has driven me to the brink. My creative solution has been to have an eccentric scoring system, not a theme I can re-use very much. Can't wait to move on...

@Sean Buildbox Thanks for releasing 3.1.1 Beta . I have a suggestion since its good to see Buildbox evolving as expected i request you to enable a feature to add AI CHARACTERS/OBJECTS as per today's game trend.
