How To Make An Object Explode On Collision?

    Would anyone know how to make an object explode on collision with characters. For some reason I can only make it work with a bullet but that's not what I need.

    Also the Making of Line Zen is NOT a good example.

    Of course I placed a death animation of an explosion but it never plays.
