What Happens In The Retention Test Of Voodoo?

    yes this happened to some indies, but it's quite rare, such move kills the publisher so it's a one shot.
    I consider this as non-representative, but indies should still be aware of that and don't trust anyone promising millions without evidence.

    the problem is that such stories, makes some indies believe that Ketchapp, Voodoo or Lion studio will steal their money and vanish .... such big publishers have more to lose if they act like this.

    voodoo will spend a certain $ on FB daily for 3-4 days. During that campaign, your game should get minimum 250 installs from US.

    so basically out of 250, 138 D1 retention and 55 D7 retention will get you a publishing deal

    If you have been submitted to the Voodoo test platform you can test your "prototype".
    Voodoo will allocate a fixed amount of views to the ad that has been created with usage of the video you have submitted. If you make a great video that communicates why your game is so super fracking cool you will hopefully get about 250 installs. I'm pretty sure that if your retention is realy good but the installs are low they would still contact you.

    ohk.. so video making job is done by us. how hard is it to have 55% retention?

    To get a publishing deal from Voodoo you need...
    • Day 1 retention in average above 55%
    • Day 7 retention in average above 22%
    • Over 250 new users per day on average (for the 4 days of testing)

    Congrats.Just follow the document available on dashboard.Its all there :) .But to be easy ,add the sample video,integrate all necessary sdks and submit.Wait for their approval and they would begin testing if all is well.

    If you have correctly logged into Voodoo and presented with the Dashboard then front and centre you will see Dashboard Training To-Dos follow exactly what it tells you in the Testing Checklist and reference Voodoo Publishing FAQs for any help you need.
