    Original 24 September:

    Guys,

    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/2049/id1435059088?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo=4

I am new to mobile game development and attempted to build an iOS game using a BB3 template. I have developed based on current limitation. BB3 core level is fantastic. BB3 going to become a tough competitor to Unity in Hyper Casual Games.

I am expecting following important fixes to make it a proper game.
    1. Event Observer for Points is not working (Only GameOver is working).
    2. Session, World, Total points reset to zero after reloading the App.
    3. Sound on/ off and maintain state after reloading.

@rizwanashraf make sure to add an app in the app store with that name. otherwise, you will lose.

I might be one of them and I still think the same. I’m not sure if the limitations are from the developer or from the engine but this game is still just a template release.

In the end, independently of the engine used, gameplay is king. And once people start to focus on coding this always seems to suffer. And this is what makes bb2 so great.

I admit, I have absolutely no idea about bb3 since I’m one of the boxers who don’t want to code. So I wouldn’t even know where to start.

I know bb2 from top to bottom but every video I have seen about bb3 includes coding which for me is atm a no go. (If I learn to code I rather learn c# and Unity). So not sure if we ever will be able to use bb3 in the same way like bb2. And with that I mean outside of the default settings and templates.

Nonetheless, it’s good to see progress. Any progress is progress. And if you are able to do an update and add new stuff then we know it’s going into the right direction.

When we started developing, we start with the templates. It doesn't mean that we stick with the template. So you can comment any initial attempt wisely. I like BB2 ( Even though I don't know, I like its flexibility making 2d games. It's best. ).

BB3 has an additional flexibility that will beneficiary to BB3 and BB2 customers. You will realise in later days.

Don't be rude man. Buildbox has had a few missteps and is just now gaining respect. The people are right to doubt due to the history of the platform.

I think he doesn't mean to be rude regarding platform. BB2 also has templates. His comments are only about this game progress. We will keep this in a positive way.

I agree. Right now the state that BB3 is in you basically need to code in order to get a good game out, but even then you are still limited. When the reveal video for BB3 first came out we were promised that you could still make great games without coding, but sadly so far this is not the case.
I understand that it is still in beta but the final release is December last I heard and I honestly don't think by then that BB3 would be viable enough to create amazing games without coding. Maybe the next update will change my mind who knows.

When we restrict only with code less gaming then we need to build within the restricted environment (Still people build amazing games within that). Coding and Inbuild Nodes will use the strength of both Developer and Designer to build amazing games.

I agree but right now we are limited by both in a big way, also some people just want to do this solo and don't want to learn to code and are very limited in BB3 right now because of it. Take me for example, I program professionally using another engine and found buildbox because in my free time I would rather chill, work on a game and not have to worry about coding.

We can not expect very soon like Unity. But Buildbox now starts progressing in both ways and that is the right choice.

Example, BB3 Inbuild Ad Banner and Interstial feature are not available yet. But they opened Ad with custom options. So I no need to wait for them, I can able to implement in my side.

Similarly, Publishers can able to extend their features with those open nodes (It's a good start).
