So I've always had a Google phone since the G1. Never had an iPhone. Had all Nexus's and of course, I have the Pixel now. Using my wife's or my daughters iPhone for testing is like torture for them. lol So my question is Which iPhone should I buy for testing iOS apps. I think I read that the iPhone 5 won't work because it's too old. So any info/suggestions about this would help a great deal! Thanks!
Personally I would always use the lowest supported phone and if affordable - the highest. I think an SE should work but not 100%
For the cheap option probably an iPhone 6s or 6s+. I use unity now but an old boxer and have ran all my games on them perfectly.
@HueTheDev iphone 7 can be the best option for testing apps. Pretty handy and catchy, even though I already have iphone 6 plus, if not, would have gone for iphone 7, if can afford for the best, go for iphone XS
I was thinking of getting a used iPad to test on iOS, since I really don't need a complete phone, and the tablet might come in handy for stuff. Not sure if that's really a viable test bed or not though for the kind of applications we're usually talking about here.
