Hi, i have my gamer nearly finished an have been testing it on devices. It runs fine on IOS (iphone 6d and above) and also on android (galaxy s4 mini). The game is quite optimized with two atlases but has a fair number of levels (150+). It crashes on devices like iphone 6 and 6+ and i assume it's because of memory issues. These devices have 1gb of memory whereas the ones where the game runs successfully have from 1.5 to 2gb of ram. Has anyone run into the same problem on these particular devices? Also is there anything i can do to prevent that from happening on these devices? @Andy, any idea? One thing worth mentioning is that it happens with some other games too:
40 characters. App size on ios is 47.3 MB I would think it's a database issue because i tried a version with cut down levels (around half of them) and it worked.
If apps take longer than 15 seconds to load on iOS, it crashes. Older iOS devices will crash if you pack in too much. Loading time depends on number of worlds and other factors too, not just atlas size. Good luck.
Thanks for the info mate. Not much i can do i guess, except cutting on level data. It seems Bbox wasn't designed for too heavy content games anyway.
