Finger Drift New Game

Hi,
When i saw the new Game Finger Driver from Ketchapp, i started playing around with Buildbox and try to make my own version of this game.

So after one Weekend here is the result.

A slow touch gesture steers the vehicle gently! And a fast wipe over your Phone let the racing car drift through the road

Oh wow, i seen this gameplay video somewhere on twitter and remember thinking.....hey i wonder if that can be done in BB? lol with the way the car actually turns. Now i find out it WAS made in BB lol so, how in the world did you make the car actually turn like that? All i can do is make a right turned image and turn on image direction. but it then is instant....versus smooth like yours is. Care to share?

I didn’t make something special, just joystick character controls and you have to check auto tilt checkbox .

 

Wow. so easy lol. Thanks. Love the game btw. The physics of the cars movements is what makes it good.

 

Told my wife to check it out, turned on screen recorder first as i knew she would screw it up. lololol. This what happens when you don't follow instructions honey!

You really got a good game here! Just some things to consider; maybe have 4-5 background colors on shuffle after each death just to make it seem fresh and might increase player retention. Yes i also thought about different backgrounds, but the problem is buildbox use always the "start"-scene- so i find no good way to do this whitout given the player the feeling there is a bug in the game.

Maybe you can add some extra 'Drift Point' for drifting obviously?
Or add more points quicker during drifting at all?
