Dont read me wrong buildboxers ... i love this forum and love buildbox

But i never heard about a bold man who talks alot about hair colors

Build box is a good program but i believe there are many things are much more important than 3d like
1 - achievements
2- native rewarded ad without being jailed to heyzap
3- depending totally on buildbox without thinking to find a programmer to do things for you which can be included in the software itself..
Talking about other engines all the previous points are available but not buildbox yet which we hope to see before 3d ..

Other points like ..
Event observer thing which alot of people talked about before ... but we still waiting ..

Again i will be happy to see 3d buildbox but without the previous points and other mandatory points it would look like a beautiful island But without and life on it ..

 

that's totally true there is a lot of missing features that need to be added i hoped to see it rather than 3d
why I think that I am going to be disappointed again.
how the heck will cost to make 3d assets for bb 3.0 I will be happy if it will come with a built in some creation components at least for simple assets creation lick cubes and spheres.
plus all the thing that was requested many times by boxers members.

and one more thing i hate to say ... others like unity charge 100 dollar too but with unlimited options which i agree not easy to learn comparing to build box

myself and my team started a course for ( unreal engine ) thats incredible world and its free with a hint that they will charge you when you gain more than 5000 $

despite all the previous facts ... we still love buildbox and buildbox's team ..

how much they love us to have what all buildboxers been asked for a while such as : achievements , native rewarded ad , ....etc ???

we all hope Buildbox 2.3 and 2.3.x have all those features and more, before releasing Buildbox 3.0

i'm pretty sure we will get all requested features this years, because don't forget , BB 3.0 won't be ready untel to end of 2018, i mean even Tray and buildbox team didn't publish or showcase a 3D game and you guys are gettting nervous already

 

I dont care what any of you say. I just shat a brick. EXCITED.

 

If it leaves by the end of 2018, it means that it will be working and without too many errors in the middle of 2019.

At that time the world has been able to finish 50 times!

100% Agree with you. They can add A.I feature, Touch pop feature, Multi Player feature etc ..

 

Oh it will happen. You know BB 2d and 3D [Next] will have all these lovely little features. Theres no way they will settle and just leave it as is. Two different teams are working on 2d and 3d bb. And since its becoming more popular and sales are increasing, they are getting more news coverage etc....Means better features. I caught my wife sleeping with Buildbox last night and all i can say is.....good job honey.....good job.

Scripting support


3d camera and 3d environment

 

If it just would work without bugs already. Buildbox 3 will be a game changer no doubt. The good thing is that we have time to learn scripting.

 

what language c++ or javascript I'm confused @Christoph @TreySmith

 

scripting in BB3 is javascript.

 

Allowing custom nodes is were this is going to be a complete game changer. Just now need to learn JavaScript.
What I really want to see in a future update is multiplayer

 

The JS API will allow you to access the C++ code. That is called binding and Cocos 2D does it already, more info here:

Why a JS API and not C++ directly?
Well because JS is much easier to learn and also is more widely used. It is the language of the web

I personally know the basics of coding in JS (like really basic), but I am about to start a diploma in web development. First of all because I feel like I need to improve my website (which is just crap at the moment) and also because I REALLY want to be able to do anything I want while making games.

I am really excited about having the option of coding in BB - it is exactly what the framework needed. (I have zero interest in 3D tho)
