Buildbox 3.0 Will Have Full-on 3d! (trey Smith)

Buildbox 3.0 will have full-on 3D. Import models, build levels in 3D, etc. it will also be the same price as 2.0.

Told a few people about this at GDC and figured it's time to officially let the cat out of the bag.

I don't think so its only will have a better system to create isometric games as for the price if you keep subscribed to bb will get the upgrade automatically

 

It will have full on 3D plus something else very special that I don't think people will expect. Buildbox 3 is going to be a real competitor to unity.

 

BuildBox uses Cocos2d-x as underlaying game engine and that supports 3D, so it is quite possible direction to move to. Sounds exciting!

 

Sorry for my skepticism, but I do not think it has 3D support.

It's a little bit earlier to compare it with unity. But i hope that Now with buildbox 3 there will be life system , and other things that bbx 2 didn't have.

 

I can't wait until BB 3 is released. Has this gone into beta yet?

 

I am wondering since it is already in 3D, call we do VR, AR and kinect game with Buildbox 3.0?

@andre_sprs are you from the chosen people that have bb 3.0 beta I think you know some info as I didn't know that bb will support fully 3d features it wasn't mentioned before

And also 2.0 users will be automatically upgraded. Your 2.0 will continue to work, but you'll also get access to 3.0. 3.0 will still make 2D games also! There will be a button. You click the button and it goes from 2D to 3D and vice versa.

BB 3.0 will be able to make match 3 games

BB 3.0 will support multiplayer

You can import bb 1.0 bb 2.0 projects into bb 3.0

This bbx 3.0 should have scrolling system ui , live system , multiple options for sprites, example if I want to move an object I put an animation that stay moving until I do not move that object anymore. Like the game limbo. Star rating system.

 

Construct 3, Game Maker studios 2...all nice software but will never have the abilities of BB 3. Trey went the right way first...they didnt. Trey went with ease of use first, then features. Other guys went with features first, then tried to make it easier. I just want to make puzzle games. Match 3 games are my fave.....i just read we can do that in 3.......*passes out*

 

BuildBox is amazing Game builder..

The only (or main) problem Boxers facing with BB is updating and bug fixing it is very very slow

Why they don't hire more people?

 

The more people that buy BB, the more people they can hire. So go on your FB etc and promote BB! Lure some new buyers in. Then we will see faster updates etc.

 

Where did you see that BB3 will support match3 and multiplayer?

 

I don't mind doing that, but is the boxers job to promote BB?!

 

Yes, it is. YOU PAY FOR THE SOFTWARE. and im guessing YOU want the best software you can have. So, logic says, we all help promote BB = More people buy BB = better BB.
