Hello guys! Splendid game, Coyowl! By the way, did you do it with Avoidance preset or Stage Clear? I try to convince my character to move inside a shape, as it happens in your game, Coyowl, but although it seems simple at first glance, I can't get it. First of all, I've inserted an image that covers the entire screen, as Enemy, then I put another image on top, having a specific shape, as I need, as Platform, with No collide attribute, and over it I put my character. But when I hit Play, character dies instantly. It seems it doesn't understand D) that between it and the enemy image, there is another one. Then I tried the other way round... I first put a picture, as a Platform - No collide, and, over it, an Enemy image having a specific shape cut in the middle, and then the character, inside the "hole" (to say so). Now, when I Play, again, the character dies immediately. It doesn't seem to recognize the "holes" inside the PNGs either. What do I miss?!
Hello @Yoocris Glad you liked my game! This is how I did it:I used virtual joystick for movement. The background images are objects set as decorations so they won't interfere with the gameplay. For the outline of the image I used small objects as enemies. It was a painful process but it paid off in the end
So, if I got it right, you used a multitude of points, as enemies, with visibility set to 0 to make the outline of those pictures?! After some research, I found the clip below, but I was hoping for an easier alternative (you did something as we see starting from 4:20?)...
