My game has 30 levels. Each level is made with 5 scenes. The fifth includes the checkpoint for the next level. The structure is endless = no tele-transporting to the new level. My question: 1. Can this be ported to BB2 without any issues? How does BB2 handle the levels and scenes? 2. Can I choose different music for different levels or worlds?
If you import a BB1 save file, it will have the same menu structure and setup as it does in BB1. Then you can add multiple worlds to it, etc, if you choose.
But do I have to re-make this new worlds or can I simply say scene 1-4 is world 1, scene 5-8 is world 2 etc?
In this case you would need to duplicate the world for each new world and delete what you don't want.
The real question, @TreySmith : can we import (in any way) world/s (or scene/s) that we have done in a project into another? (granted that the assets are already loaded). I do understand the potential implications of this feature on files using different resources and those resource not being "pointed at" correctly but, I am looking into the possibility of teams working on different parts of a game (again: granting they use on the same exact audio / graphical resources) maybe working in different locations. Sending BBDOC files up and down is not the way to go since in any case they cannot work simultaneously on the same file.
Generally speaking: World = Level Scene = Scene There is no "scene" import/export at this time to combine multiple BBDOCS.
hopefully something can be done to implement "copy/paste" and "import/export" on an upcoming BB release. I feel that is even more important than adding multiplayer to BB...
A bump to @netkomm 's question. Has the copy/paste feature from one BB file to another been made possible? Finding it hard to collaborate with a team without that feature.
