I'm using the 'wall reverse' template inside of BuildBox and instead of using a gateway/portal thing to finish the level, I just want to continually bounce back and forth on the walls. Once you hit 1 wall, I want to switch the scene as you start bouncing back towards the next wall (so that there are new enemies in the way), and so forth. I thought a checkpoint might work but I can't control where the player will be at any given time so I can't predict where to 'start' them off at in the next scene. This video here explains the functionality I'm trying to achieve: https://0.s3.envato.com/h264-video-previews/1b5787cd-3b9c-4eb3-a02d-a32578ce964d/596376.mp4 Any ideas?
not perfect, but might spark some ideas... you do not need a ui to "menu jump".... if your character always started where they finished, you might make it look seamless https://www.dropbox.com/s/dumwar66nc635vb/wall reverse world jump.bbdoc?dl=0
Thanks for the response @heathclose What do you mean by make it seamless? In your sample file it still restarts the ball at the bottom of the screen, which I assume is why you said to make it seamless.
@Kory Pearman Do not use scenes, use worlds (@Andy @TreySmith when will we get scene jumping logic pieces?)
Yeah I created all my worlds now I'm just trying to figure out how to have the ball stay where it's at when switching worlds.
@Kory Pearman redownload the bbdoc https://www.dropbox.com/s/dumwar66nc635vb/wall reverse world jump.bbdoc?dl=0
I appreciate you helping out but that doesn't quite accomplish the ball bouncing back and forth either. This is a tough cookie to crack.
Hi @Kory Pearman , I am facing the similar challenge. Did you find a way around yet? If yes, please help
Hey @blad300 , thank you for this. But it has the same issue of seamless transition across worlds and the ball still starts from its default position and not from the position it had left the previous world.
