Background image too big??

How come whenever I drag my background image in it says it can't be used because it's too large?

 

It should also tell you how large it can be

What size is the current image?

Buildbox doesn't allow you to import any background image larger than 2040x2040 px and only accepts PNG.
Try resizing the image or consider using a "tile pattern"

 

My game is a metroidvania style with watercolor painted backgrounds so my images are large. And I'm not using tiles so idk what to do now

Is that size limit only for the trial? Can you use a larger image in the full version?
