Simple Things - Please Help

Hi Guys

So I've got a racer game and have a button power up for turbo boost

Ive spent nearly two hours now messing around with number and nada

Any help on how to implement something so simple would be greatly appreciated

so click power up button bike goes fast - simple? you'd think

 

Have you tried creating an advance move and changing the linear velocity. You then control the advance move with your button.

 

Hmm that didnt work it really only changed the position on the screen. I would assume you need to change the game speed some how.

 

change game speed when clicked for n seconds?

 

tried that TBH the only success I've had with buildbox is making flappy clones so until theres more decent training I'm sticking with that my mediocre ambitious projects I'm taking to gameslalad its just to frustrating using BB i don't have the patience anymore - thanks anyway guys
