Buildbox 2 - Early Access - BETA3 is here

As you can read there are issues with PATH in this release and there is no schedule on releases. It will get released when ready for release. You must understand that fixing thousands of bugs maybe I don't know takes a lot of time and it is not our job to prioritize the order of that list. I would love to use USERVOICE system so that all users made the list instead. Would increase happiness with clients right?

 

Please cool down, I was just asking a simple question Nothing Life changing !

can ANYONE with Windows 7 / 32 bit confirm beta 3 is working for him?

what service pack? did you just ran the exe and all installed no problems at all?

 

I am running on Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit Operating system and I have done no tweaking, Just installed and activated without a single error. What error you are facing ?

 

just cleared any trace of BB from my PC, including registry, so it's a totally clean installation.
the software does installs, but when trying to run it - nothing happens. cursor shows thinking, while in the background it runs 3 processes, which can't be killed. same was with beta2.
you cannot uninstall it regularly, only on safe mode.

now I've noticed that it does opens in safe mode (it needs the internet connection, but still it does open), getting back to regular mode - same as above, nothing happens

 

So when you right-click on buildbox process and click on End Process Tree, what happens?



Also install buildbox again and choose a different install path like "Program Files (x86)\buildbox2" and see if it runs

Note: Avoid messing about with the registry, it could lead to undesirable and frustrating experience

 

as mentioned, processes won't end. click it - nothing happens, all 3 processes still running.
as for the different path - sure I did it, different path, different partition... I did installed beta1 while BB1.35 was installed, so I kinda know what I'm doing , but with beta2 & 3, cannot solve it.

 

This is very unusual as I have had no issues at all, what i did, i installed BB2 in a different directory like program files/buildbox2 and my version 1 and 2 both are running on my device.

 

OK do this, open RUN and type 'msconfig'


In System Configuration > click the Startup Tab > look for Buildbox and uncheck it and click OK


Restart your machine so this time buildbox process does not start.

Install beta 2 or 3 in different path (if already installed, just launch it and see if it starts up first - if not uninstall it) and then try it again.

I am happy to look at your machine if you share the screen

Went to msconfig/startup, there's no buildbox entry listed, it doesn't run on startup.

 

Sorry mate, its difficult to troubleshoot issues like this without access to the machine.
