Why not approach it with a more minimal style? I think you should say good bye to your background with the bokeh. It just doesn't fit your game. How about something like that?

 

Or with the laser re-added and some small glow on the ball. Take in mind, this is made in 5 minutes and I just used the elements provided above. It should be redone from scratch if you like it.

 

I love the feedback I will make versions of this as we forward to publisher.

i disagree i really loved your concept from #28 post it's better and unique it refer to the gameplay and make the ball and platform stand out, it make you feel that you want to press it and see what this game is about it, make you curious... this is my opinion though / however what i really don't like is score font and position make it visible and stick it to the edge

 

I am very thankful for this input. This really helps us get a better focus on targeting a solid icon. The design was made to entice and make curious. All comments are critically noted and thanks guys. You are the digity smooth awesomes.:}

Nice looking game man! I think the icon @Christoph made looks great; only thought I have is to make the laser lit on that icon like it is in the game. Love the metallic theme
