Same here, I was forced to back to BB 1.3.5 (that is unstable too) but at least doesn't crash every 30 seconds... TBH - you are loosing a customer...
I noticed that it crashes (sometimes) when I am saving with particle editor popup open. To avoid that try to close all windows except main BB...
