I messed with BB2 a bit, looks really good. Quick question with the health.... Is there a indicator to show how much health is left? And is it possible to make items that will give health back or increase health?
I would also like some kind of indication of damage taken. Maybe the character flashes or better yet, a separate damage animation.
@Andy a separate animation would be the most ideal for the character and any object that can take damage.
I think there should be a action labeled Health. The drop down on this action would be : 1.Recovery = Restores instant health back. (You set the value) 2.Extra life = Give a extra life. (You set the value) 3. Gain health = Gain extra health (HP) (You set the value & set how long it will last or permanent) Just throwing some ideas out there.
We also have to remember when the character gets hit there must be a brief period of invincibility for the character. Think about when Sonic loses his rings, he tends to flash for a bit and cannot be hit any further for a few moments.
I was actually thinking about that, like in castlvania when you get hit he becomes invincible for a moment and gets knocked back. (Maybe there could be a knock back option on attacks. But that would be a different thread.)
Is this something that will be added to BB2? In my game I could really do with a multiple lives functionality. I know it's available for enemies, but not for the protagonist.....or am I missing something?
