Hello boxers, How do invalid clicks in Admob happen? I never clicked on my own ads, but in my Admob account I see about 2$ invalid clicks and they are deducted from my account, how does this happen? and will Admob suspend my account if this happens every month? like I said I never clicked on my own ads and never exchanged ad clicks, I am really afraid that Admob team may think I click on my own ads! Any advice or tip?
It happens when users accidentally click on the ads. Like for example you have a banner very near your buttons on game over. Admob knows it. When an ad appears and not 1 second has passed and a user clicks on it, admob knows it's invalid because the user wasn't able to even read the ad before clicking
Yeah make sure your game buttons are moved AWAY from ads. Also, happened to me, if your game has very few assets and loads super fast,pop up ads can load quicker than normal causing accidental clicks. Yes these will get you banned. Make your pop up ads like every 5th death, and REMOVE banner ads from showing during gameplay. Keep them on menus. Plus removing them from in game helps speed the game up for players with slower devices.
I earned a bout 677$ last month, and the invalid traffic was about 2.37$ which is only 0.35%, so I don't think it's serious, it's way too small amount, I don't think they may ban my account, unless it was a huge amount.
