    My dream for Buildbox:
    • At the highest level I want Buildbox to be the #1 game development environment available.
    • At the very least I want it to be on par with Unity and Unreal game engines.
    • I want the debate to be about what to choose between those three not the last two.
    • I need to be able to create anything my imagination can aspire too.
    • Export to EVERY available platform on Mobile or Console, Mac or PC.
    • No bottlenecks. No roadblocks. No restrictions. No bugs.
    • And as simple as drag-and-drop.
    Lets Do It.

I also think this would be good because it would give us the chance to get used to the node system before bb 3.0 comes out! @TreySmith

Yes, I think putting the js api/node system into 2.3 is the best thing that could happen to Buildbox at this point. I don't see BB3 (3D) coming anytime soon this year, I would go as far as to say it will be summer of 2019 until we have something to work with. Getting out Buildbox 2.5 with the js api/node system would make totally sense at this point and I would have no problem to wait for Buildbox 3 as long as it takes. Actually, to have a Buildbox 2.5 with this feature is all I need at the moment.

    Like if you agree! :)

We really need the js api/node system in 2.3 I don't care as much about 3D. This will allow us to be able to do WAY more!!! @AndyG definitely a good thread. Let's just hope that @TreySmith listens!!

I'm with this all the way. Whist I'm sure the team will make a great product to make 3D as easy as it can be I still think that the work involved in designing 3D games will be much harder and longer to produce good games. I may dabble a little with 3D for fun but it's only really the js api/node iI'm personally interested in for the foreseeable future. I prefer 2d games on small screens. I appreciate there must be a call for 3D and it adds a level of gravitas to the product but if it's possible to facilitate getting this into a pre version 3 release then it would be incredible.

Add the physics elements of box2d and this tool would be incredible.

I think it will not be soon. But in any case, the Buildbox 2.x.x is a big leap forward.
