Find someone with a Mac and use ScreenFlow. Perfect every time.

I like Camtasia, but it's too expensive for personal use. So I chose Joyoshare Screenshot recorder finally, which only costs $29. It also works great to record the game play

Sincerely speaking, I also don't like Snagit. I know another screen recorder for windows, called Joyoshare. I see that here someone else also use it. You can try if you show interest in it:)

Is there any advantages in recording with third party software rather than the built-in recording function in the iPhone?

Have you considered exporting to your device and using something like AZ Screen Recorder?

VideoSolo Screen Recorder is the Window software that can help you record gameplay. It provides you with several outputs and you even can add text, arrow, line and draw on the video or screenshot.

Are you using the latest version of Windows?

I've never had any problems with the basic Game DVR in the game bar when you press Windows + G. It doesn't have many frills but it gets the job done for a simple screen record.

The best one is OBS guys just use it! I used it before to record gameplays and even live streamed to Twitch with that! I think it is cool and easy to use.

If you have an Apple device you can use the built-in screen recording.

Enabling screen recording on iOS 11
    1. Launch Settings, and select Control Center
    2. Scroll down in the list and add Screen Recording
    3. Close Settings
    4. Swipe-up from the bottom of the display to reveal Control Center
    5. Tap Screen Recording button to immediately begin recording (or 3D Touch to bring up menu

Windows 10 has a built-in feature to record screen, if you have a high quality requirement, you can use FoneLab Screen Recorder which can record 4k video and export as various formats.
