Too many questions, different `world` for me.(i spend my last 6 days in OS X, xcode, BB forum and google search to fix it) I want to publish my games for IOS also . I buy Apple Dev account and here starts the problems . I have a laptop with OS X Mavericks and Xcode 6.2 . I don't have an Iphone . 1. I create a certificate signing request from keychain and added to apple dev. 2. I create my first game in Itunes(Game center and IAP). 3. I create provision files for developement and distribution . Problems : 1. In Xcode ask me for `Team` and i add my dev account ,but... 2. I try to build like this : But i have this error @Andy , @Christoph , @heathclose , @playsgames6666
You need to have a registered IOS device. Once you got that you will be fine. You will need a iPhone or iPad anyway for testing, and i don't think you can upload to iTunes connect until it has been tested on a device first. So get an iPhone or iPad and register it in the app development centre, link it with your provisioning file and you will be good, You can pick up a cheap iphone 5 for testing, and 6's are getting cheaper now too.
I just buy an Iphone 5 @playsgames6666 , i register to Apple Dev , and i don't have any more error about signing, but it's not build my project ! I wonder if is xcode problem ? i have installed xcode 6.2 @eyal i saw you have it the same problem once, how did you fix it?
What you mean update Xcode 8 is coming soon ? (Now you can download from apple Xcode 8.2 already) I installed Yosemite and now i download Xcode 7.2.1
@Andy Hey but I am currently using Xcode 8.0 with Buildbox projects. Will it have any problems in apps after compilation or what? Should I degrade Xcode 7? Thanks!
Ok, I build with no errors . What now ? i saw 2-3 youtube videos how to do it , but it's not appear my "Arhive" button and "Upload to AppStore" .. How do i upload it to itunes ?
Make sure your device is disconnected, then you click on product from the top, then click archive. let it do its thing, then a new popup will come up, click upload to iTunes from the right, and you should be good.
I remember trying to get my first game uploaded in itunes. It took me days too. I was on the verge of crying as Google was 'click click - done'. Thankfully, i know where the pitfalls are now and can do it within the hour or less if its a simple update. But it really put me off adding games there due to the headache it used to cause!
