What part of "the game needs to be polished and completely finished" didn't you understand? The ads turn them off or don't put them at all. Or would you want to test something with ads on? Put yourself in the shoes of the publisher. What would you want?
Hmm, I saw it differently actually. I would have assumed you would turn on ads for when the publisher is checking your game in TestFlight so they can see the monetisation strategy you have implemented.
So from your experience you are saying it's better to send games to publishers without implementing any monetisation? Can I ask what is your experience with publishers?
No, what I am saying is that for publishers monetization matters most(bc. this is the way they get their investment back). some devs don't even know how to create a monetization strategy, so then they get help from publishers. I have been working with a publisher that invested in his paid game $75k.. he made over $5k-10$k a day. but until people reached 22lvl and boom, there is a big bug. People got their money back, and he only left with few thousand dollars.
