Hey @Christoph , nice game =) ! Where did you get this cool background music? I´m searching for something like this!
About Bloody Time Good luck man, I know this one's been a long journey for you. Fingers crossed for tomorrow @Christoph, wishing you much success.
Yeah. I know this comparison will come up and actually it makes me flattered. Thank you. I wanted to do a tribute to Geometry Dash (which is one of the big ones) and took the idea from the cubies and the portals which I think are really awesome. Then I mixed it with the gameplay of Block Shock (and its Buildbox clone Creep Shock) and added new obstacles to it. That's pretty much how the game came to its early stages, at least mechanic wise. Can't believe that this was over a year ago. Also, cool that you loved it nonetheless. The music is made by E8, a DJ from Germany. I'll let him know that you liked it. I contacted him through one of those music platforms. Don't remember which one though.
Saying I suck at the game is the neat way of saying you don't like it. lol No worries though. All good. I think it's one of those games when you don't understand the logic behind, you immediately will put it down. But you don't want to know how much I tweaked the physics to make it feel right. And still, I have seen several players who just can't get used to the rhythm and gameplay. You are probably one of them. haha. I had a version without tutorial at the beginning and the rate was probably at 50/50. With the tutorial I could make it so that the player enters the mood of the game and the effect was reduced a lot. But I know, it's still happening. I just hope the editor from Apple wasn't one of them. lol
Haha, thanks Phill. That's exactly what I thought. Still can't figure out how others do new games so fast and so often. Got some promo codes left: 3N7MM363RYF9 F9JMPNM9J7FJ 996AFYNT4RR7 4FFKMNJM99NL
Oh Man @Christoph Congratz Bro.! Really Amazing and Polished Game. I wish you the best of luck and trust me this game will catch people mind. Just wait for it. I wonder how much time did you put into this game. You did hard work and I am sure it will pay off.
Thanks mate. From the first idea to the release it was almost one and a half years. lol. But keep in mind that this is my first game ever. I didn't know anything about game development before and it was a huge learning experience. From designing every aspect of the game to get used to Buildbox and to study everything else related to the industry. In this game there is pretty much all I learned until now. And I know this is just the beginning. Funfact: I wanted this game to finish with the Buildbox trial last year. I prepped all the graphics, studied every tutorial I could find on the Internet, read the manual twice and read all the posts in the forum (I actually still do). Then I registered for the trial. After 4 weeks I realized that I'm just too slow. Then David came out with Color Switch making it in one week and I was like: I guess I'm not the average developer. lol. But in general I'm always a little slow with whatever I do... Thanks Simon. This means a lot coming from you.
Haha this looks so complete and awesome man! I have high hopes for this one man, wish you all the success in the world!
I am a big fan of geometry games and this one is Amazing ! Good luck Chris and i hope you get featured after release and i'm sure you will
Hahahah, man i dont hate the game. Im fine with the jumping part of the game, i really just suck at the ufo part LOL, and yes i was one of those people that sucked at flappy bird. .
Haha. Yeah. The UFO parts are crazy difficult. At least the ones in the more advanced levels. WE ARE LIVE: https://itunes.apple.com/app/id1166357999 If you like the game and have some time, please leave a review. (The ones who downloaded the game with a promo code can't though)
