When I build my project in BuildBox, I usually save every now and then.

I recently figured out when I restarted my Computer, it even said it was saved on my desktop, no quit warnings. I opened the saved file, and it was completely clear, nothing that I had done was saved. This has happened multiple times. And I even tested it one time just to make sure it was a bug.

Could this be because I'm using the 30 Day trial version of BB? Is the "save" feature disabled in the demo version? Let me know! :D

Hi @Newee, I also worked with the trial version prior to purchasing Buildbox and if I remember correctly, you can save no problem, but not export. To be honest, you should get into a habit of saving everytime you make the smallest change and also make copies of the files you're working on, so you always have a backup version to fall back on if something goes wrong with your current version.
I know it really sucks to lose your work, but when using computers and any software, you should always be baking up, there really is no excuse for not having backups. Get used to doing it and you'll have a lot less problems.
I hope you're enjoying using BB? The more you use it, the more you'll realise how versatile it is and will begin coming up with tons of cool game ideas, have fun :)

Oh yes! I'm loving it! I'm thinking about purchasing it as soon as the 30 day trial is over. But I do save everything I change, with ctrl + s. And I even tested creating a new project, adding a couple images and obstacles, saved it as "test" on my desktop. I closed BB without any warnings about "save now" or any of that stuff. I opened it from my desktop, and there was nothing inside the file.

On a Mac when opening a file sometimes it does not open and instead a clean file is opened. Try to open the file a second time after the application is already open. This should open the file you were working on. Are you on Mac or Windows?

I'm on Windows. I tried what you told me to and it didn't work.

Have you looked in > File > Open Recent? What's in there?
Also send the file off your desktop to Support to see if they can open it.

Thank you, Phill Mason! When I open the saved file nothing happens, but when I open BB and click "Open recent" and choose that file, it opens with the saved stuff. Should I still send it in to BB support though?

Do I just email them the file and a brief explanation?
