Just in time for the long weekend (July 4th holiday in the US) we are pleased to bring you Buildbox 2.2.2 with many bug fixes in this release!

Something is really bad in this update. The objects (platforms, decorations,...) in my game run like 1000 times faster than normal... :( Only my character moves normal. Anyone else having this problem?

Hmmm... that is really odd. We check all (25 or so) preset gameplays on every update and did not see any issues. Is by chance velocity drag key in your gameplay? Using it with actions?

@Andy are there more fixes or just this list? Have some other issues. I made the threads in bug reports already.

Gameplay actions yes, but I don't use velocity drag at all. I just checked my principal action and it is at 100 which I think is the default value.

Try setting it to 0 in the action, or making it match your world. There was an issue with Velocity Drag being inverted in Actions. This is the only thing I can think of that might be related. This is the particular bug that we were addressing:
It makes sense based on your description of the issue.

Thanks Andy. Not sure what I was looking at before. I re-opened the file and now the Velocity Drag says -9900. I set it to 0 and everything seems to work at normal speed. So I think I just have to adjust all actions.

I still have the rotation bug though. Could you take a look at the bbdoc I sent to Sean?

hooe jump animations were fixed. I hadn't had time to submit another bug report yet. I had only mentioned it in thread.

    Taking damage animation has changed.
When an enemy takes damage the animation runs as before, but when animation ends, the enemy is invisible until taking damage again.
This is unfortunate. I have emailed support with a bbdoc.

I noticed this too - but in my game it was there in 2.2.1 also.
    - I managed to patch around it (not in a very efficient way) but in my game taking damage is rare - can't imagine a patch with a serious shooting game...

I think there is some problem with physics in this new update. The last update was working fine with physics. Please take a look at that to, and until then I'll use the old update.

    - Double-check the 'velocity drag' in the world settings -- the update sets it to -9900 (which is actually a minor bug on it's own) --> so put your old setting there (usually 0) and it should work fine.

Found BUG in: Duplicating a character with CMD + D works now, but:

    1. if you have a character unlock, the duplicated characters are unlockable, but
    2. some of the duplicated characters are not shown in the gameplay (preview)
    3. the "event" must be set to "button untitled" for the duplicated characters (ghost jump), the original character has "event: none"

A BBDOC is already been sent to Sean, just wanted to share with you guys.

I don't quite follow - you're duplicating character just so you don't have to set it up again from scratch - or you're talking about making multiple characters in the gameplay?

Hi @Andy, was "libpng" issue fixed in this update? Can I re-export my apk to google play to get rid of their vulnerability warning? If not yet, when approx. it is expected to be fixed? Thanks!
