I've been toying around with the idea of modular animation in BuildBox. The theory is only animate the basic movements of the NPC and add variation via linked images. See the video.
Now that I made my cling mechanic work on all surfaces, users can now choose their route of attack! Also, the enemies seen here have zero frames of animation!
heres a question. on the video showing garbage collection, in BB you zoom way out showing most of entire level....how do you get that much SPACE? all i can do is move the orange sliders left and right. are you just building the leve OUTSIDE of that area? and for me, i was making a motocross style game and when i go up high, then come down, the screen stays that high and my character just dies. when i would like for them to fall a long distance. any help appreciated. art is amazing. you did all the art or?
So the issue I'm having is when character goes way high, then falls back down, they just die. Versus fall all the way back down. And do you have a link to your arts? Would love to see them.
Make sure that your game frame is grey and also that your delete threshold hasn't deleted the world on you....
Game frame? That the slider? The orange one for size of screen or level or whatever? I put delete threshold to like 1000....still did it.
Ok, im lost...where do i click to do that? i tried clicking orange lines....i think im missing something....
