Hi Guys, We are almost done with one of our game. FYI - It's almost done and the date is finalzied to be released by publisher. Meanwhile there is one of the requirement from the publisher end where we need to be sure whether our game supports apple TV as well. We tried and exported but when running on simulator, and pressing to start the gameplay, it doesn't response, I mean the game doesn't takes the start. SO what can be the issue. Kindly let know as we are running out of the date Let know ASAP
^ I wouldn't trust the simulator too much best bet is to test on an actual Apple TV. If you don't have one buy or borrow one
The tvOS controllers are not working when you export from BB you have to code the tvOS controller yourself in Xcode... I hope they will solve this issue in the final release.
is this issue in BB 1.3.6? or BB 2 ? I have the same problem with export in BB 1.3.6 for Tv OS. In simulator the controls are not working. Anybody tests on actual Apple TV??
@tarasgasparin I tested it in BB 2 so don't know if this is also the case in BB 1.3.6 I did test it on an actual Apple TV and Simulater and both the controller is not working, I did write my own controller in Xcode.
Well that will be different for each game, but if you gave some programming experience in C or C++ then it is not that difficult. Are you familiair with Xcode and C or C++ programming? Then I can push you in the right direction...
@tarasgasparin you have a PM BTW Udemy has also a course to convert a iOS app to a tvOS app, this can also help: https://www.udemy.com/apple-tv-apps-convert-an-iphone-app-to-apple-tv-using-tvos/learn/v4/overview
Buildbox version 2.3.6 - still there's no tvOS controller implemented when exporting for tvOS. Anyone figured it out? Remote TV controller does not respond on simulator when the BB game is loaded.
