So I've figured out how to add a bullet that fires by adding a bullet and making it a spawner.  I've set the linear velocity x = 200.  It works.  I am also spawning a spent shell(physics object) as well.

So the question is, when I change direction the character graphic changes but not the spent shell or the bullet.  How do I change those when the character flips direction?  I would assume that when the main character changes direction the bullet/shells would swap as well.

Hi JBerg the same thing happens even if you add a bullet animation to the character. While you can adjust where the bullet shoots from you cannot make it flip when the character does. So you get the bullet spawning from the same position and using the original image direction (backwards bullets). The best I have managed to come up with is to use a muzzle flash on the gun and a small round pea shaped bullet that is lined up with the position of the gun shooting somewhere in the middle of the characters body. Except that it looks weird if they shoot while jumping, because he lowers the gun and bullets shoot out of his body (yeah I gotta fix those sprites) LOL

best of luck

This would seem to be a major flaw in the application. There seems that there would need to be a solution for this somewhere. Thanks for answering this though. Would like to see if the build box folks have an answer
