So, I have an "invincibility" powerup in my game. Character grabs the powerup and he becomes invincible for X amount of time (kind of like Mario Bros when he grabs the star). The action animation is set to replace the character and loop. However, once the powerup ends, the animation doesn't go away. I tried setting it as overlay and it still continues long after the powerup is over. Basically, I want the animation to play as long as it's active so the player knows when it begins and ends. How can I make this happen?
